Hickory Ridge High School vs. Northwest Cabarrus High School

Tonight at “The Ridge,”  the Hickory Ridge Ragin Bulls face off for the first time ever against the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans.  Tonight’s game is a conference matchup between two of the three South Piedmont Conference giants who are tied for first place.  At 3-0 in the conference, each team will battle to see who can dethrone the other from first place.  Northwest is 6-1 overall and Hickory Ridge is 4-3 overall.  It should be a close matchup and a good game with a lot at stake.  Kickoff is at 7:30pm.  Come out and support the Ragin Bulls football team and do not forget to bring your cow bell.  See you at the game.  Go Bulls!

JV-Hickory Ridge High School vs. Northwest Cabarrus High School

The JV Ragin Bulls football team fall for the second week in a row in a close match up against Northwest Cabarrus High School.  Loosing 14 to 7 this puts the JV Ragin Bulls at 1-2 in the South Piedmont Conference.


In the first quarter, Northwest Cabarrus England gets the 6 yard touchdown run.  Williford throws the 2 point conversion to make the score Northwest 8, Hickory Ridge 0.


In the second quarter, NW Cabarrus McMillan gets the 4 yard touchdown.  Hickory Ridge answers with  7 yard touchdown by Ricardo Day and a PAT kick by Jake Douglas.  The score at half time and the final score of the game, the second half was scoreless, was Norhwest 14, Hickory Ridge 7.


Ricardo Day had 38 yards on 5 runs.  D.J. Barnes completed 1 of 2 passes for 27 yards and had a nice 67 yard kickoff return.  Nick Tyson completed 3 of 3 passes for 21 yards.  Foil Stafford threw 4 for 4.  Jason Eury caught 3 passes for 43 yards.
